Written and recorded on December 20th, 2012. Remastered June 2015. The song fades in and out to the sound of an actual Wisconsin snow storm, which left about a foot of snow on the city that evening.
I wanted to write a song about winter that wasn't about Christmas. "Snow" was performed live once, but never released.
lyrics
Snow outside my window
Coating all the trees
Covering the streets below
You can hear it blowing in the wind
Drifting off of rooftops
Swirling in the air all around
It's a whisper as if coming in a dream
Slips inside your head and offers no retreat
It changes everything
Blows through the city
In wave after wave
And makes it all clean again
